I know there have been posts similar to this in the past, but we can always use this reminder:
Abortion is not just an argument.
Let’s face it: if a logical argument is all it takes, we would have seen an end to abortion before it even started. We can prove the injustice of abortion in a million ways, using science, using legislation, using logic, using Natural Law, using common sense, but what does that really do? In most cases, a woman is not going to come to us, begging us to tell her why abortion is wrong. There is so much more than that.
Respecting life isn’t about how many ways you can prove the injustice of abortion, how many logical reasons you can give, or how many arguments you can win. It’s about Love. It’s about Truth. It’s showing others Love and leading them to Truth.
Our fight is more than a March. Our fight is more than an argument. Our fight is an action we take every day, an action to love the poor, the sick, the broken, the unborn, the elderly, the hopeless, the ordinary. Our fight is advocating life by whatever means we have – opening our homes, visiting the elderly, listening to those who need someone to listen, donating our money and our time, caring for the sick, helping those in need, whatever we can do. We are the prolife generation, not because of what we argue, not because of what we write, but because we love with every day of our lives.
