I’ve had this “argument” thrown at me a few times, especially while going to a very liberal college.
Granted, to many, it may seem like some pro-lifers only care about the fetus while it’s still in the womb; we fight to ban different kinds of abortions, to shorten the timeframe of when a woman can obtain one, and fight to defund anything that supports the said industry. But what about after that?
Many community pregnancy centers offer services, classes, tools, and materials for mothers after they have delivered their bundles of joy into this world. There are parenting classes, networking to connect them with support groups, and often counseling is offered in those facilities. Many facilities also offer help in connecting families to services like WIC or other things to help the children have the healthiest childhood possible. Some also can help connect families whose baby was born with special needs to groups and other qualified places to help the parents adjust to this new life change.
Pro-life warriors are also some of the biggest supporters of adoption and fostering children. Jase and Jessica Robertson just adopted an adorable little boy, Gus; following their new addition to the family on Instagram is one of the sweetest things ever in my opinion! Popular Christian pop artist Jamie Grace’s parents, who are in their 50s, recently decided to foster 3 toddlers who can’t be at home right now and need someone outside of their family to love on them.
I am not just pro-birth.
I am pro-toddler. Pro-young adult. Pro-special needs advocate.
I am pro-life.
