Okay, so there are many different forms of contraception. There are many methods including but, not limited to, pills, implants, IUDs, abstinence, sterilization, and condoms. But, do we really know where to draw the line while being prolife?
Many women use birth control for medical reasons, I being one of them, either to seize cramps, help reduce cysts, and many more reasons. While many beliefs are against birth control, mine are not yet, my morals are. An abortifacient is something that causes an abortion. The term abortion to me, is killing a fertilized egg, which has its own DNA. So, in that case, I do not believe in the use of many forms of contraception.
Now, you may ask, what kind of contraception do I believe in? I believe in the following; abstinence, the implant, sponge, pills, ring, breastfeeding, cap, condoms, diaphragm, female condoms, Fertility Awareness- Based (FAM), outercourse, spermicide, female and male sterilization, patch, and the shot. The reason I believe in these methods is due to that most prevent ovulation and thicken the cervical mucus to prevent the fertilization of the egg.
This month, I hope you take a second look at different birth control methods and what you put in your body. Don’t feel like you have to agree with all my views, but please, look at things from a different perspective.
