Wow. This past Tweetfest exceeded our previous events by far! Over a period of four hours, we went from 13,200 followers to just under 14,000, trended nationally, and took the 3-spot on the most-tweeted list in our nation’s capital.
During the Tweetfest, I felt like one of those guys who works on the floor at the stock exchange––constantly running around and yelling numbers; like it’s their job to be in a constant state of panic. It wasn't exactly that intense, but you get the idea. I was nervous about how strong we’d finish once 6:30 rolled around, or if it was even gonna take off to begin with. It’s easy to be discouraged nowadays about the condition of society and where its values are (if you've read my other articles, you had to know I was going here). I’m not too proud to be a Millennial. There’s a reason why the Greatest Generation was the one who persevered through the Depression, then went on to fight in World War II while everyone else back home gave their all to the war effort. I hope some idiot in the future doesn't attribute the same title to us. But if we really turn out to be the generation that ends abortion, since that’s ProLife Youth’s whole point, I’d be happy with being dubbed “the Generation of Life.”
So thank you to everyone who helped us earn that title––to get one step closer to ending the worst genocide in history.
