When it comes to the topic of abortion, people either run as fast as they can from the topic, or get into a heated debate on the subject. Either way, many pro-lifers and pro-choicers agree that some of us haven’t exactly been in an abortion-type situation, where we would have to choose between keeping or aborting the child.
If only this were the view of many pro-choice people around the nation. When you think of being pro-life, do you ever put yourself in the mindset of a woman considering abortion, and have you ever thought of what YOU would do if you were in this situation? By calling ourselves pro-life, we must remember that being pro-life does not mean being anti-women, it does not mean that you are necessarily Republican, and it is not just two words you can put into your twitter bio. Being pro-life means doing whatever means possible to save the life of any unborn child, even if that child happens to be your own. What Ashley did was a brave, selfless act of pure love for her unborn child. The choice to delay chemotherapy treatment may cost Ashley her life, since doctors now say her cancer is terminal, leaving Ashley only a handful of precious months with her new husband, Jonathan, and children, Paisley and Braiden, 6.Would we do the same?
