5 Pro-Lifers that stood up for their views but still made it big in the media!
Here are 5 pro-lifers that we can all feel good about supporting. Enjoy!
Some people in the Generation Z crowd may not know this name, but Grammer is most well-known for his time on “Cheers” as Dr. Frasier Crane and later on the sitcom classic “Frasier.” Grammer was raised as a Christian Scientist and still loosely follows that, but he is a very staunch conservative with a powerful drive to save lives in the womb. A post that received a lot of circulation was him wearing this shirt boldly stating his views.
If you’re a fan of thriller movies, you’ve undoubtedly seen Nicholson in the popular movie “The Shining.” Nicholson was the product of teen pregnancy and has been quoted in National Review saying “I’m very contra my constituency in terms of abortion because I’m positively against it. I don’t have the right to any other view. My only emotion is gratitude, literally, for my life.”
Best known (to me, anyway) for her role on “Everybody Loves Raymond” as Raymond’s wife and also as Mrs. Heck on “The Middle,” Heaton is a supporter for life by speaking out against abortion, embryonic stem-cell research, and euthanasia. She was one of the few celebrities to speak up for Terri Schiavo in 2005!
Jordan Sparks has been actively pro-life since her “American Idol” days. Several photos of her have been circulating the Internet for years as she actively participates in pro-life events and she even performed in 2006 for a pro-life rally in Pheonix! (Check out www.rockforlife.org to find more bands and singers who support life!)
When she was around 15, Minaj had an abortion. In 2008, she admitted to the guilt she carried from this in her song “Autobiography.” She told Rolling Stone that it “haunted me all through my life,” though she “felt it was the right choice at the time.” While she may not be actively pro-life like the others I’ve listed, she certainly has given a powerful message that abortion is something filled with horrors.
I hope this list inspires you to look for more pro-life celebrities and can make you feel more at-ease in supporting them and their careers!
