Like many others, religion has been a key influence for my involvement in the pro-life movement. I, raised in a passionately Catholic household, have been taught the infinite value of human life and God's love for each of His creations. I see abortion, therefore, is the murder of a completely innocent soul made in the image and likeness of God. These beliefs led me to abhor the senseless slaughter of the unborn and fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. However, my religious beliefs alone cannot end abortion. Abortion is not just a religious issue. It's more important than that.
In order to abolish the murder of millions, we need representatives from every part of society to work together. The surprising thing is that there are people from every background willing to fight against this great evil. Abortion is not just a religious issue. It's more important than that. It is a race issue. It is a gender issue. It is a poverty issue. It is a world issue.
